Staking a claim

Two games left and there's more than one eye on the play-offs ..

First is the tricky trip to Castle Park near Doncaster racecourse where the home  side are firm favourites to clinch the advantage of finishing second in the league going into the play-offs .

However Knightsd, still need five points from their two remaining games to guarantee second spot. We could still finish third if results go for us but we are also looking over our shoulder at Jersey who could pip us for fourth.

We need the momentum of a result at Donnie and another at home to runaway champs Bristol to set us up for what very much looks like play-off encounters with Carnegie.

The coaches hope for that  momentum with only one change from the high scoring win over Pirates last time out.

Myles Dorrian comes in for Jake Sharp at fly half with club captain Nick Fenton-Wells on the bench after recovering from a thumb injury.

Blues: 15. Steffan Jones 14. George Perkins 13. Michael LeBourgeois (capt) 12. Tom Griffiths 11. Dean Adamson 10. Myles Dorrian 9. Henry Taylor
1. Tom Williams 2. Charlie Clare 3. Phil Boulton 4. Mike Howard 5. Mark Flanagan 6. Justin Blanchet 7. Josh Buggea 8. Paul Tupai

Reps: James Currie, Camilo Parilli-Ocampo, Harry Wells, Nick Fenton-Wells, Jordan Burns, Jake Sharp, Henry Staff.

Good to see NFW back, happy to say he has proven me wrong & this season has developed into a decent leader.

Third would be amazing! And whatever happens afterwards a real bonus.

Hopefully we can attract some ambitious players to continue next season too.
