Well entertaining it was not, neither was it a good advertisement for rugby, in fact the attendance of I think was just about 1600 it would have been less had it not been boosted by the free lunch’s for the season ticket holders............a miracle was required for the Blues to progress any further in the B&I Cup......it did not come

........like a growing number I am of the opinion that the B&I Cup should be humanly put down, and we must see a swift return to a larger Championship of in the first instance 14 clubs with top club gets promotion and bottom club goes down, no play offs just good old business sense of keeping it simple, keeping it stupid

Following today’s result Blues Fans now only have four homes games till the end of the season to look forward to .............

........and please let’s hear no more talk of the play offs, I think the bookies will be willing to give you long odds on us making it to them, perhaps those who believe we can should make it to them could have an investment and pay off the clubs debts....

Disappointing result and diappointing game. Early pressure was not turned into points. The best chance of that early period was squandered when the two Blues players finished in the same sqare metre of the pitch instead of using the acres of space available. Lack of regular playing together perhaps.
There were some good individual performances and we played to the end. Now the distraction of the B&I Cup is out the way, we can focus on improving our position in the league. Whilst we may not make the playoffs, pride alone should be sufficint motivation to turn round a pretty dismal season.

I agree with The Hooded Man.
I don't know how much yesterday's Leeds team represented their first choice but, nonetheless, it is easy to see why they are second placed in the league. They were very direct, brutaly efficient and turned possession into points at every opportunity. I think that they kicked away possession twice in the entire game (mind you, Bedford didn't kick as much as they have been this season).
Sadly I think that we can dismiss any thoughts of the play-offs this year but we should (must) use the remainder of this season to improve our standing in the Championship.
PS: Has it been mentioned before, but could we do something about our lineouts?

I thought the effort of the players Saturday was excellent but AGAIN there were too many basic mistakes which have been evident far too often this season.
Can someone tell me what our forwards work on in training because it surely isn't the lineout - it dosen't take 2/3rds of the season to get that right. We have 3 hookers, and about 3 lineout jumpers/options a game so why is it proving so difficult to hit the man. Charlie Clare was never the worlds best line out thrower but at the moment we must be losing about 50%+ of our own throws which mean we lose momentum and pressure.There's been a lot of criticism of Rayer this season (and ultimately he is head coach) but he isn't the one coaching the forwards is he? If I made the same mistake at work on a weekly basis over a period of 6 months I'd have been sacked a long time ago. Also the pointless number of times we decided that while in the opponents half we should kick the ball away rather than taking the ball into contact and building again.
The scrum was on the back foot after 15 minutes yet in the first 15mins we seemed to dominate. You have to be clinical when for the first 15minutes the opposition struggled to get out of there own 22 - to come away with nothing (when a kickable penalty was on offer) was poor. We clearly have the basis of a decent squad (with a few additions needed) but if we can't get the basics right your always going to be up against it.

I was at Goldington Road on Saturday for the first time in 5 years, if you think you have issues with the lineout then that's nothing compared to your efforts to defend the driving maul. Get yourself a new pack and a decent forwards coach for next season

Not seen a decent line out for a whole match for nearly 2 years now. Might be better of not praticing it and just make it up on the day?

Forgot to say... the highlight of this match for me was Dorrian's tackle on the Leeds prop, he certainly felt it and then had to come off injured a minute of so later! I bet the Leeds forwards will be taking the mick out of him being taken out by a fly half!
