Blues Trounce Notts

There's been a feeling among the faithful that a big win was on the way and Blues finally delivered it in a 40-9 defeat of Nottingham at Goldington Road.

Six tries for Blues, including a hat-trick for Dean Adamson and, satisfyingly, we stopped Nottingham from crossing the whitewash. The five points move us up to fifth.

Elliott, Maisey  and a last ditch effort from Pat Tapley kept the scoreboard ticking. It wasn't one-way ytraffic by any means, but when the visitors did try to assert themselves they came up against our best defensive show of the season so far.

Off to 9th placed Coventry next week.
