O'Hara Hits Back

Peter O'Hara, the man in current charge of Halifax Town's future has hit back at a statement that was on the Official Website.

Ex-Chairman Bob Walker blamed O'Hara for stalling over the contract offer to Neil Redfearn. Walker had always stated the need for a manager ASAP so that the club could start rebuilding for the new football season. But O'Hara was accused of interfering even though the budgets had already been agreed.

The resignation was no real surprise as Walker had seen enough of the way O'Hara was going about his job.

But in today's Halifax Evening Courier, Peter O'Hara has blamed Bob Walker for changing his mind over the contract issue.

"Bob Walker had changed his mind about the terms of the contract to be offered to Neil Redfearn," said Mr O'Hara.

"Additionally he was not prepared to sign guarantees in respect of the contract and that is the real reason that Neil Redfearn's contract has not been resolved."

It does seem that someone is telling porkies to the Town faithful, but since when has this not been the case?
