What A Load Of Bull

Halifax Town Director Ray Crabtree is going to propose to the Bradford Bulls that they come and use the Shay as their home ground.

What A Load Of Bull

Crabtree, who is also an official of the Stadium Development Company, is going to make the suggestion claiming the move will help out all three clubs that would then be using the Shay.

The pitch was well regarded as one of the best in the Football League before the Blue Sox moved to the Shay. Although it has only got into a real bad state the once (towards the end of the 2000/01 season when the rugby club played on it in torrential rain live on Sky Sports), it never gets chance to fully repair.

Surely the pitch cannot handle another team playing on it, never mind a herd of bulls?

There are quite a few clubs throughout the country that ground share with other clubs, but I personally cannot think of any professional sport stadium that has three clubs playing on it.

The Blue Sox have denied any knowledge of Crabtree going to meet the Bulls officials and Halifax Town's General Manager Tony Kniveton has also said he would not back any kind of move.

The fans will almost definitely not back a third team sharing the ground. A lot of Halifax Town fans still are not pleased that the Blue Sox share the Shay which has been the home to the Shaymen since 1921.

3 teams to play at the Shay? What a load of bull!

What it might look like if the Bulls get on the pitch
