Former club secretary David Rose has accepted the honorary role of Club Vice President.
Town Chairman David Sheepshanks: “David has been an outstanding and loyal servant of
“He became Club Secretary in 1975 during Sir Bobby Robson's time and has served the Club with distinction in that role. He is retiring as Company Secretary this year, however, his immense experience will be retained with a consultancy role.
“David's devotion has been an inspiration to all around him and speaking for past Chairmen and Directors as well as myself and the current board, we have found his help invaluable."
David Rose: “I feel very privileged to have been asked to become a Vice President of the Club that has been such a huge part of my life and I am very much looking forward to joining my illustrious fellow Vice Presidents and Sir Bobby.
“When I joined the Club back in the 1950s the thought that one day I would be honoured in this way just never entered my mind, but it just goes to show that you never know where life will take you.”
