Bertin Back

Midfielder Alexis Bertin will be back in Ipswich this week after impressing Town manager Jim Magilton while on trial last week.

Town manager Jim Magilton: “Alexis will be coming back here for another week or so and will be going on tour with us to Belgium and Holland, he will be involved against Galway on Wednesday as well and we'll see how he does in Ireland, on tour and in training before making a decision on him.

 

“He's a bit behind the others in terms of fitness but he has attributes in his game that we don't possess in the squad at the moment.

 

“He does the ugly side of the game if you like, breaking the play up, just sitting in there as a defensive midfielder.”
