Bruce To Sign

Birmingham City defender Alex Bruce looks set to sign a three year contract with Town if he passes a medical.

The 21-year-old, can play in defence or as a holding midfield player, has spent the day at Portman Road having a look round and meeting the team.

 

He started his career at Blackburn before moving to Birmingham in January 2005 where he was under the management of his father Steve Bruce, he made just 12 appearances for the bluenoses as well as loan spells at Oldham and Sheffield Wednesday.

 

Town boss Jim Magilton: “Alex has been with us all day and we're hoping to tie everything up tonight.”
