Parkin To Coventry

Town striker Sam Parkin could be on his way to Coventry City if the Sky Blues up their 200,000 offer for him.

Leicester offered £100,000 in cash with £100,000 more based on appearances for Coventry, but that bid was turned down by Town last week but Parkin was left out of the squad against Palace on Saturday as a mark of good faith between Town and Coventry.

 

Parkin joined Town last summer from Swindon for a reported £550,000 but he never found the form that lead him to score 73 goals at Swindon while at Town so he managed just 5 goals in 20 appearances for Town last season which lead to sections of the Town support getting on his back.

 

Meanwhile Jim Magilton wants to try and sign Mark Noble before Town’s match against Wolves tomorrow night, saying: “West Ham were away in Greece until Monday so we have not been able to do anything. Mark is a very good player and I would like to get him in before the Wolves match but we will have to wait and see.”
