Town Target Macken

Town manager Jim Magilton says he would like to sign Crystal Palace striker Jon Macken on-loan from the London side.

The 28-year-old striker has made very little impact at Palace since his £750,000 transfer from Manchester City in 2005, scoring just two goals in 29 appearances but his strike rate during his time at Preston is much more impressive 74 goals in 229 games while his injury hit spell at Manchester City saw 12 goals in 59 appearences.

 

Jim: “Macken is definitely a player who interests us.

 

“I will be speaking to Palace manager Peter Taylor to see if we can get something done. I'd like to sign him on loan for a month and take it from there.”
