Dele Adebola Linked

According to reports in one of this morning tabloid newspapers Town are keen on signing Coventry striker Dele Adebola.

The 31-year-old Nigerian started his career as a youngster at Crewe Alexander where he scored 44 goals in 134 appearances before a £1milllion pound move to Birmingham during the 1997/98 season. His time at St Andrews was also productive with 42 goals in 102 games before moving to Crystal Palace for the 2002/03 season but 7 goals in 48 games was deemed as poor and he was soon on his way to Coventry where last season he had found the form from earlier in his career with 12 goals 49 games.

 

Leeds are also reportedly keen on signing him, but with the windfall from the sale of Sam Parkin to Luton should allow Town to mount a serious bid for him.
