Loan Bid Turned Down

It has emerged today that Town failed in a bid to take Fulham defender Gabby Zakuani to Portman road on-loan.

Both Town and Crystal Palace wanted to take Gabby on-loan but Fulham manager Chris Coleman wouldn’t allow it.

 

Zakuani’s agent Richard Cody: “There were a few people enquired about taking him on loan - Ipswich and Palace - but there was no way that Chris Coleman would let him go. It just won't happen.

 

“If Chris felt that is was the best thing to do we would go along with it but Chris believes Gabby is making very good progress and I'm happy with that situation.

 

“Gabby is very, very happy just going along with the way Chris wants him to. He is pushing for a first-team start.”
