Naylor Hoping To Start

Town defender Richard Naylor is hoping to start Town’s game against Sunderland at the weekend.

Naylor started Town’s game against Birmingham because Alex Bruce was unable to play at St Andrews as part of the deal that took him to Portman Road in the summer and with Bruce suspended for the Sunderland game on Saturday Naylor should start but he is taking nothing for granted.

 

Naylor: “My aim is to give the manager a selection headache, of course I would like to stay in the side, and with Alex suspended on Saturday I am looking forward to hopefully facing Sunderland, a team who will give us another stiff test.

 

“We controlled the match on Saturday and it was disappointing not to collect three points.

 

“But we must take that on the chin and centre on the many positives that we can take out of the game.”
