Currie Wanting Starts

Town midfielder Darren Currie says he is hoping to retain his place in the Town starting 11.

The 32-year-old was linked with moves away from Town in the summer which he feels may have contributed to his drop in form, which lead to him not starting Town games frequently, but he has started the last two and now he wants to keep on starting.

Currie: “I know what is expected of me now.

“There was a feeling that I wasn't working hard enough earlier in the season, and maybe I wasn't.

“I had a few things on my mind with all the talk of a move away and perhaps I wasn't giving as much as I should

“But it wasn't intentional, and if I can work hard with the rest of my game I'm hoping that now I am back in the side I can stay there.”
