Lee: I’ve Been Better

Town striker Alan Lee was far from impressed with his personal performance against Luton today, despite scoring a hat-trick.

Lee: “The team performance was very good and we could have had a few more goals in the first-half, I personally didn't have a great game apart from the goals though. I had a sloppy first-half and could have done a lot more.

 

“It was better in the second-half obviously but the most important thing is the result and the team performance. For me personally I need to be sharper for Tuesday and Plymouth.”

 

Lee got the final of his three goals with a penalty in the 90^th minute, despite other players wanting to take it, Lee added: “Simon Walton came up and said he'd take it and I said 'sorry Simon, this one is mine'. Then a few others volunteered and even Alex Bruce came up and offered. I said I'd give it to a steward before him!

 

“I have taken plenty before and I'm happy to take them again but Simon has the job at the moment.”
