Town striker Billy Clarke will miss Town’s game against Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday because of a knee injury.

Billy Clarke is out of Saturday's game against Sheffield Wednesday and is seeing a specialist about his injured knee.

The 18-year-old striker missed the defeat at Burnley after suffering a knee injury against Plymouth last week.

Town head of sport science, Dave Williams: “Billy has had a scan and we will be seeing a specialist later to see what he says but it doesn't look too serious, there is a bit of bone bruising around the knee and he will certainly be out for the weekend but we're hopeful that he may be okay for the Norwich match.

“It will be down to what the specialist says.”

Mean while Jon Macken has started training again after a hamstring injury, with Dave adding: “Jon is back in full training now and his fitness levels are good.

“As long as there is no reaction, he should be available for the Sheffield Wednesday match.”
