Bates Joins On Monday

Middlesbrough defender Matthew Bates will join Town on-loan from Monday until January.

The 19-year-old has played 32 times for the ‘Boro first, some of which came in their run to the UEFA Cup final last season.  

 

Town manager Jim Magilton: “Matthew can play anywhere across the back four and I'm delighted he is joining us on loan, he's a player we have been watching for a while and he will be with us until January.

 

“He's an ambitious young player who has already experienced Premiership football and is hungry to come here and show us what he can do.”
