Gary Hopes For Welsh Call

Town midfielder Gary Roberts hopes his visit to Cardiff tomorrow won’t be his last.

The 22-year-old midfielder may have Welsh blood in him and the Welsh FA are currently waiting for him to find his grandmothers birth certificate which will either prove or disprove his eligibility to play for them, should he be able to he would consider it an honour.

Roberts: “The Welsh FA think my nan was Welsh so I'm eligible to play for Wales. But before John Toshack can call me up they need to see her birth certificate to prove she was born in Wales.

“I haven't had a chance to do that yet - but I will do it before Wales' next game.

“I would love to play for Wales. I would consider it a great honour.”
