Currie Coming Back

Town midfielder Darren “slow winger” Currie is expected back at Town on Thursday after his loan spell at Coventry.

The 32-year-old was expected to be leaving Town and joining Coventry this month but now the move has been thrown into doubt.

 

Town manager Jim Magilton: “Darren's loan at Coventry is up and he will be back with us at the end of the week, I've heard reports that Coventry have made a bid for Darren but that's certainly not been the case. We've heard nothing.

 

“Darren wants first-team football and he's had that at Coventry and I can understand that he would like a permanent move there.

 

“We've had no contact from Coventry though and the way it stands at the moment, he'll be returning to training with the rest of the lads on Thursday.”
