Fab Staying Put

Town defender Fabian Wilnis now won’t be leaving Portman Road on-loan because of the injury to Jason De Vos.

Fabian has asked Town manager Jim Magilton if he could leave on-loan last week and was told yes, but because of the injury to De Vos all that has changed.

 

Fab: “I have been out of the side for a long time and asked the manager on Monday before training if I could go out on loan, I have hardly played any football in the last two months and the manager said that he would be happy to do what is best for me.

 

“Then Jason De Vos got injured and Jim turned around and told me I was going nowhere. That's how it can be in football.

 

“At the weekend I was not even in the squad to play, yet three days later I am back in the first-team and playing 90 minutes.

 

“I really enjoyed it as well and the legs don't feel too bad either so a big thank you to the fitness coach Simon Thadani for helping to keep me in shape.”
