Naylor: Billy Scored

Town defender Richard Naylor says Billy Clarke had scored just seconds before Colchester United scored their first today.
Naylor: “All the guys were sure that the ball was over the line, some of our players were celebrating whilst others were remonstrating with the officials; then Colchester sneaked up on the blind side and scored.
“We should have been more disciplined. We could have been one up at that stage but instead we went one down. We were disappointed but that's the way it goes.
“It was an important win though. We needed three points and we need to continue in that way to make the Play-Offs.
“We've got a lot of good players and today they showed their character. Colchester have done that all season and that's why they are where they are in the League.”
Colchester boss Geraint Williams says he wouldn’t be surprised if the ball had crossed the line, adding: “I couldn't see from where I was but people tell me the ball was over the line and I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case.”
