Williams Wanting To Stay

Town midfielder Gavin Williams says he wants to stay at Town and leaving would be a disaster for him.

Williams along with some other members of Town’s squad were disciplined earlier this month for taking a trip to Amsterdam after being allowed some time off, after being disciplined rumours started to circulate that Town manager Jim Magilton wanted to offload Williams, which is not the case and something Gavin must be pleased about as he does want to leave.

 

Williams: “It would be a disaster to me if I was to go.

 

“The issue has been playing on my mind and affecting my form, I now want to forget all about it - and concentrate on the big games that await Ipswich Town.

 

“The manager told us to use the time off to put our feet up and rest, so maybe going abroad wasn't the brightest thing.

 

“I think the manager rates me as a player. It's just off-the-field things he is not happy about.”
