Game To Go Ahead

Town’s game against Leicester City should go ahead on Saturday despite the snow fall in Ipswich today.

Town’s head groundsman Alan Ferguson: “We picked up on the bad weather through our satellite system and covered the pitch on Wednesday afternoon, there was a lot of snow around but the pitch has been well protected. We'll raise the covering on Friday and get the hot air blowers working. There is a chance the first-team might even train on the pitch if the training ground is frozen.

 

“I have no concerns at my end about the pitch being playable come 3.00pm on Saturday. We have covered the pitch for games 19 times and we have yet to have one called off.”
