Jim Eyeing Striker

Town manager Jim Magilton says he is hoping to sign a striker on-loan in time for Town’s FA Cup tie against Watford.

Town are missing Alan Lee and Jon Walters for the game at Vicarage Road on Saturday leaving just Billy Clarke and Danny Haynes as recognised strikers available for the game.

 

Jim: “I have been asking around to see whether I can bring in a loan signing.

 

“But I have drawn a blank so far, and it is not going to be easy.

 

“If no one comes into the squad we have Billy Clarke and Danny Haynes, plus Gary Roberts can play up front and George O'Callaghan has also filled that role in the past.

 

“And we are holding on to Dean Bowditch, so he can come into the equation.”
