Report: Town 2-1 QPR

Town ended their winless run with a 2-1 victory against Queens Park Rangers at Portman Road earlier today.

Although QPR had the better of the early play Alan Lee gave Town the lead on 26 minutes when he headed home Gary Roberts’ cross from the left wing.

 

Roberts was also the provider for Jon Walters’ goal with his pass splitting the defence setting both Walters and Lee free to run at the QPR ‘keeper Lee Camp, Walters got the final touch to give Town a 2-0 lead on 54 minutes.

 

QPR got a goal back with 19 minutes left on the clock, Paul Furlong was on hand to fire the ball home after Rowland’s shot had rebounded off the post.
