Jim: Clarke’s Chance Will Come

Town manager Jim Magilton says if Billy Clarke keeps working hard he will be ready for another first team opportunity.

Clarke scored 4 goals in Town’s first ten games of the season but has failed to find the net again since October or started a first team game in nearly a month, but Jim says his chance will come again.

 

Jim: “I'm sure if you had asked Billy before the start of the season what his expectations were for the year, he would have surpassed them by now, he came in and scored a few goals early on but has found it a bit harder lately, which happens with young players.

 

“I'm sure he is disappointed he has not been involved in our recent games. I would expect that but he has to keep working hard on his game, concentrate fully on his football and nothing else and wait for his chance.

 

“It will come and he has to be ready to take it.”
