PMM: Luton 0-2 Town

Reaction from Town manager Jim Magilton following Town’s 2-0 win against Luton earlier today.

Jim: “It was difficult conditions and the pitch didn't allow us to pass the ball as we would have liked but it was a massive win for us, we needed to follow up the performance at Preston in midweek and we did that and deserved the points.

 

“We knew that Luton would come at us, given their position in the table and we had to stand up to that, stick together and come through it and we did that.

 

“There was a real determination to get a result and I'm delighted for the players and the staff that we came up with the victory.

 

“It was real team effort with some good performances but I have to pick out Jason De Vos for his display. He had a cut in his mouth and needed stitches but there was no way he wanted to come off. He was immense and epitomised everything about us.

 

“The fans were terrific and lifted the players I think the players lifted the fans as well.”
