Town defender Fabian Wilnis is hoping to be offered a new deal at Portman Road sometime next month.
The 36-year-old has been a bit part player for Town this season with Alex Bruce and David Wright both being preferred at right back but he is hoping to be offered something next month.
Fabian: “It's been like that for the last three or four years and each time the manager has approached me in April.
“I would think it will be the same this year when the manager starts to look at next season.
“I will certainly be looking to carry on playing, whether that be here or somewhere else. I feel very fresh and want to play as long as possible.
“If I was struggling to cope at this level then I would have no hesitation in calling it a day but that's not the case. The hunger is still there. I feel just as excited about playing now as I did when I was 18.
“I still want to push myself on the pitch and feel that I can do a job and I think that has shown on the pitch when I have played this season.”
