Preview: Town - Plymouth

STB brings you team news, manager previews, betting odds and officials ahead of Towns game against Plymouth tomorrow (KO 3:00pm).

Town are with out Richard Naylor and Sylvain Legwinski for the rest of the season, Gary Roberts and Jason De Vos are both doubts. Dan Harding is suspended. David Wright is expected to play at left back with Fabian Wilnis on the right and Ian Miller in the middle of defence.

 

Town Squad: Bruce, Clarke, De Vos, Garvan, Haynes, Lee, Miller, O'Callaghan, Peters, Price, Rhodes, Richards, Roberts, Sito, Supple, Walters, Williams, Wilnis, Wright.

 

Town manager Jim Magilton: “We need to build on the win at Luton, which was thoroughly deserved and I'm looking for the players to put down a marker for next season, we are putting plans into place for next year, the framework of the squad, the team, and I'm looking for the players to show me they deserve to be involved.

 

“I can see things coming together on the training ground during the week and now we must start replicating that on the pitch week in, week out.

 

“Plymouth's performance was as good as any we have faced this season, they played at a very high tempo and with plenty of quality and it was a hard earned point for us in difficult circumstances. I'm expecting a similar challenge again.

 

“Having played against Ian, I can see that his teams play in the same style as he used to. They are very fit, play with bags of energy and with a real relish for

 

Plymouth are with out the services of David Norris who is starting a two match ban while Nick Chadwick and Dan Gosling are injured. Tony Capaldi is fit again but can’t play after Lawrie Sanchez used a FIFA rule to stop him playing

 

Plymouth boss Ian Holloway: “I'm expecting Ipswich to be a very good side but I'm expecting us to beat them, it's a place I like going to. The pitch is superb, the dressing rooms are beautiful and the surroundings are wonderful.

 

“There will be no excuses for us and I will be looking to pick a team that I think can get us the three points.”
