Preview: Town - Derby

STB brings you team news, manager previews, betting odds and officials ahead of Towns game against Derby County tomorrow (KO 3:00pm).

Town are with out Billy Clarke who has a groin injury, Lewis Price, Shane Supple and David Wright are all doubts with injuries.

 

Town Squad: Bruce, De Vos, Garvan, Harding, Haynes, Jeffers, Lee, Miller, O'Callaghan, Peters, Price, Richards, Roberts, Supple, Walters, Williams, Wilnis, Wright.

 

Town manager Jim Magilton: “It will be a big test for us against a team that looks set for at least the Play-Offs and it will give us an idea of how far we've come and how far we have to go, Billy Davies has done a great job since taking over at Pride Park last summer and they must have a terrific chance of winning automatic promotion.

 

“He did a fantastic job as manager at Preston so I'm not surprised to see that he has carried that on at Derby and he has some top class players there at his disposal.

 

“It's a big game for Derby and a big game for us. We need to get back on track after last Monday's defeat at Sheffield Wednesday.”

 

Derby will be without Darren Currie who can’t play against Town as part of his loan agreement, Darren Moore has been banned by the FA for violent conduct and will not play. Michael Johnson and Tom Cumberworth are all injured, while Stephen Pearson and Marc Edworthy should both be fit enough to play.  

 

Derby manager Billy Davies: no pre-match thoughts currently available.
