Norfolk Police Message

Norfolk Constabulary has issued their normal message to Town fans ahead of the East Anglian derby against Norwich on Sunday.

Chief Superintendent Myhill: “I would like to take this opportunity to offer a warm welcome to all Ipswich Town Football Club supporters to the City of Norwich for the Norwich City local derby fixture against Ipswich Town on Sunday 22nd April 2007. Kick-off: 12.00pm.

 

“All supporters travelling by both coach and rail services will be welcomed on their arrival in Norwich by Norfolk Police Officers and are advised to adhere to the directions given in relation to their safe approach and arrival at Carrow Road football ground.

 

“All efforts have been made in the planning of this event to ensure that all supporters of Ipswich Town Football Club can move to and from their arrival point in Norwich and the ground in a safe and secure environment.

 

“Norwich City Football Club will open the gates at 10.30 am at which point the bars within the stadium will be open for your use and enjoyment, providing all forms of refreshment. These bars will be open before the game and again at half time.

 

“The Norfolk Constabulary strongly recommends that all supporters adhere to instructions given by the local Police Officers on you arrival in Norwich to assist in ensuring that a safe, enjoyable and memorable day is had by all attending.”
