Town defenders Richard Naylor and Jason De Vos are both on course to fully fit in time for the start of pre-season training next month.

De Vos has undergone surgery on his foot to solve a metatarsal injury while Naylor has been recovering from a toe injury that sidelined him for the tail end of last season.

Town physio Matt Byard: "Richard has had a MRI scan to see how the bone bruising in his toe is healing and the reports from the specialist are very positive, he has been swimming this week and should be clear to start running in the next few days.

"All the signs are encouraging and at the moment he is on target to begin the same pre-season programme as the first-team squad.

"It's the same with Jason. His recovery is going well and he's now back running. If there are no problems then he should be okay to begin pre-season."
