Sheepshanks Denies Bids For Lee

Town Chairman David Sheepshanks has denied Town have received a bid from Coventry City for Town striker Alan Lee.

It was reported yesterday that the Midlands side were ready to make a £400,000 bid for the 28-year-old striker who scored 17 goals for Town last season but Mr Sheepshanks has denied any contact with Coventry City.

Mr Sheepshanks: "We have not heard from Coventry City. We have not had any offers for Alan, or any of our players from any clubs. Jim has no intentions of selling Alan and all rumours about the two not getting on are absolute rubbish."
