Francis Jeffers Deal Still Possible

Town chairman David Sheepshanks says Town could still sign Blackburn Rovers striker Francis Jeffers despite having two bids turned down.

Town had an reported offer of £500,000 plus add-ons rejected by the Ewood Park club two weeks ago but Mr Sheepshanks says Town might still sign the 26-year-old former England striker.

Mr Sheepshanks: "All is not lost, we are still very keen to sign Franny, and he is still very keen to join us."

"Currently Blackburn have a higher valuation than we are able to meet, but I remain hopeful we can reach agreement over a fee in the next two weeks or so."
