Town manager Jim Magilton says Gavin Williams is closing in on a return to action following the pelvic problem that ruled him towards the end of last season.
Gavin is yet to play for Town in pre-season but he starting to train again and Jim is hoping he is on the right path at last.
Jim: "Gavin is itching to get back playing and hopefully we are on the right road with him now, the medical team have worked very hard with him through the summer and he has taken part in some training sessions lately which is great.
"We need him playing and training pain free but we need that situation day in, day out.
"We are getting there and if we can get Gavin Williams out on the pitch fully fit, then we have a very good player on our hands."
