Mellor On Penalty

Preston North End striker Neil Mellor admits he went looking for a penalty during Town's 2-1 win against his Preston side on Saturday.

Mellor went down with two minutes before full time while going for a ball along with Town ‘keeper Neil Alexander and the penalty was debateable and Mellor has now admitted he went looking for the penalty.

Mellor: "There was definitely contact with the keeper, although I have to admit I left my legs in looking for a penalty.

"Whichever way you look at it, it was all too little too late. It is always tough coming to Ipswich and we didn't really penetrate or do enough to win. You just have to look at the home record to see that other sides have suffered here, too."
