Rhodes Returns

Town striker Jordan Rhodes has not had his loan spell at Oxford United extended into a second month.

The 17-year-old has made four starts and one substitute appearance for Oxford, scoring twice, which was enough to convince Oxford boss Jim Smith to try and extend the loan.

Smith: "It's a shame but Ipswich have asked for him back so all we can do is thank him for his efforts here. Jordan is a player with a bright future ahead of him and we all saw the potential during his month with us. We wish him well and will certainly keep an eye on how his career progresses."
