Town Appeal Card

Town have confirmed they will appeal the red card shown to Liam Trotter in the 1-0 defeat against Portsmouth in The FA Cup on Saturday.

Trotter was shown a straight red by "premiership" referee Mark Halsey for a tackle on Portsmouth's Pedro Mendes just 24 minutes into the game on Saturday.

Club secretary Sally Webb: "We have looked at the tape of the incident and will be notifying the Football Association today that we will be appealing,"

If the appeal is unsuccessful Trotter will miss Town's next three games.
