Trotter Appeal Rejected

Town's appeal against the red card Liam Trotter was issued with against Portsmouth on Saturday, has been rejected by the FA.
Trotter was shown the card by referee Mark Halsey after a one footed tackle on Portsmouth's Pedro Mendes, TV replays showed it was only a single foot and Town sent videos of the incident to the FA to help plead there case but the FA upheld the red card.
Trotter will be forced to sit out Town's next three games starting with Stoke on Saturday he will also miss the games against Blackpool and Plymouth.

What a disgrace, I knew they would do that!!! Its because Halsey is regarded as one of the best Prem League refs in the country, and it would make the FA(feckin Assholes) look stupid.

What a friggin joke, EVERY commentator, both Redknapp & Magilton, even Pompey fans, they all think the red card was wrong. As you say leggi, they just don't wanna accept a mistake. Now we have to play Miller at the weekend, trotter was looking so good...Gonna be a real tough game

Which one of these was Trotters foul:
A player, substitute or substituted player is sent off and shown the red card if he commits any of the
following seven offences:
1. is guilty of serious foul play
2. is guilty of violent conduct
3. spits at an opponent or any other person
4. denies the opposing team a goal or an obvious goal scoring opportunity, by deliberately
handling the ball (this does not apply to a goalkeeper within his own penalty area)
5. denies an obvious goal-scoring opportunity to an opponent moving towards the player’s
goal by an offence punishable by a free kick or a penalty kick
6. uses offensive or insulting or abusive language and/or gestures
7. receives a second caution in the same match

I think this is similar to the hackerby challenge on walters, that should have been a yellow at the worst. i mean Walters and hackerby both whent in one footed with studs showin yet hackerby was the one who got shown the card???? and it was in the 89thor sumin mins so i would have just told both of em to calm it down and see out the game.

Good point Danny, its about time refs used common sense, its almost like they think they are the stars of the show !!
