Town Chairman David Sheepshanks has confirmed the club have a bid for a third unnamed target and are still in talks with Plymouth about David Norris.
Town have had a seven figure bid for David Norris rejected by Plymouth already this month and Town have now confirmed they have bid for two other players.
Mr Sheepshanks: "We now have bids for two other players on the table plus the David Norris offer which was rejected.
"We are still in discussion with Plymouth over David Norris and are keen on the player and we will see how that goes but we have other targets if it doesn't work out.
"We made a bid for a second player last week and yesterday we made a bid for a third player.
"Of course we want to bring in new players to the squad but these things take time and we have to be patient. Marcus Evans supports our plans and it's important that we get the right players at the right price."
