Alan Drove By Abuse

Town midfielder Alan Quinn says the abuse that he got from Sheffield Wednesday fans during Town's 2-1 win at Hillsborough at the weekend drove him on.

Quinn joined Town from Wednesday's bitter rivals Sheffield United last month and was making only his second Town appearance on Saturday in front of his old enemies and the abuse he got spurred him on to score.

Quinn: "I got dog's abuse and I was bit upset that I did, because I started here as a young boy and really loved it.

"The stick drove me on and it made me more determined to help Ipswich get that first win."

Despite the abuse he got Alan hopes Wednesday pull away from the relegation zone, adding: "I hope Sheffield Wednesday do get out of it. There are worse teams in this division."
