Jim Waiting For Nugent

Town manager Jim Magilton is waiting on the decision of Portsmouth striker David Nugent on whether he wants to join Town or not, although he doesn't expect it yet.

Nugent is currently recovering from a herinia operation but should be back to full training next week when he should make a decision on his short term future.

Jim: "Portsmouth have been great about it and said that David can come here until the end of the season, David has an injury though at the moment and wants to get that right. So there will be two factors in his decisions, one - when he considers himself match fit and two - whether he wants to come here or not.

"I'm sure he will review the situation over the weekend and then take it from there so I don't expect to him an answer until next week.

"It's a statement of intent though that we have gone in for a player of his quality, a player we believe can help us get across the line."
