Results of scans on Town midfielder Alan Quinn's ankle have shown that there is no damage to the ankle ligament and he could play against Southampton on Saturday.
Quinn was substituted at half time during Town's game against Stoke at the weekend and had scans on his ankle on Monday, the results of the scan have shown there is no damage to the ankle just bruising to the bone.
Town physio Matt Byard: "Alan had a scan and saw the specialist and there is no ligament damage around the ankle, he has some pain at the front of his ankle joint, with some bone bruising there and that will be monitored through the week.
"We will continue his recuperation over the next few days and he is unlikely to train again with the first-team until Friday when his fitness will be reviewed but as we stand at the moment, he has certainly not been ruled out for the weekend game at Southampton."
