Season Ticket Prices

Town have announced their season ticket prices for the 2008/2009 season, with a price freeze for all fans that brought season tickets for this season.

All fans that renew their season tickets for the 2008/2009 season before the early bird deadline of Sunday the 13th of April will not see their prices increase and if they club is promoted they will get up to 50% of their ticket price back, depending on how long they have been a season ticket holder.

Prices for adult fans who are buying a new season ticket (not renewing) before the early bird deadline range from £392 to £860, fans under 20 can expect to pay between £222 and £557, under 16's can expect to pay between £109 and £408 while concessions can expect to pay between £338 and £646. Fans who want wait to find out what League Town are in next season, my advice is buy your ticket now and hope because prices in some sections go up by more then 15%.

Town's chief executive Derek Bowden has instead chosen to focus on the prize freeze and cheap under 11's tickets, saying: "We have frozen prices as we promised we would do and rescued prices for the under-11s.

"We will continue to run price promotions for season ticket holders and schools promotions.

"If you look at 43p a game for under-11 is extraordinary value, you can't buy a lolly for that.

"Given we have a fixed cost base, a prize freeze for this year and next year coupled with a he promise of a 50 per cent rebate on Premiership football does a lot for those supporters who find watching football expensive."

You've got to say this is a start. whether it keeps up or not is another matter.

The person who worked out the prices for next year is either an idiot or a genius, we won't know which until we know what league we are in next season.

My ticket is £474 if buy before the deadline, but if I wanted to wait till after the deadline it goes up to £590! If we don't go up we are going to have egg on our faces as no-one will pay that to sit where I do to watch championship football
