Town Made Bent Bid

Town manager Jim Magilton has confirmed he did make a bid to take Tottenham striker Darren Bent back to Portman Road on-loan.

Town have been linked with their former striker for the past couple of weeks as Bent wasn't featuring in the Spurs team although that has changed and he won't be coming to Town.

Jim: "Darren was having a tricky spell at Spurs and we made a cheeky enquiry, we want to bring in players that will raise the bar and Darren would obviously do that but he's very much in the fold at Tottenham and it's not going to happen. We just asked the question."
