Roberts To Win Fans Round

Town midfielder Gary Roberts has vowed to win round the Town fans that booed him when he came on as a substitute against QPR on Saturday.

Roberts recently returned from a loan spell at League One side Crewe Alexander and his appearance against QPR was his first Town appearance for some time and he wasn't pleased about being booed by Town fans and he intends to win them round.

Gary: "It kills me, it gets me down, and it was not what I wanted to hear as I was waiting to go on.

"Fans obviously expect more from me, and this is what I will have to do to win them back over.

"My team mates agree that I have not enjoyed the best of years, but it has not been that bad.

"It hurts, but I must be strong and get through it."

"I have got to prove to the manager and fans that I am worth a place in the first team.

"I did not expect to get back in the side straight away, but I have kept my head down and worked hard and after a couple of injuries have sneaked back in."
