New Home For Town

Town's new Owner Marcus Evans has reportedly announced plans to moves Town to a new 45,000 seater stadium between junctions 56 and 57 of the A14 if Town start to compete in European football while he owns the club.

The 44-year-old reported billionaire has already invested more then £30 million with another £12 million earmarked for squad improvement is reportedly ready to invest somewhere in the region of £80-200 million to move Town to the proposed stadium, although a large part of the money for the stadium would come from US based firm Textron (parent company of Ransomes Jacobsen) who would sponsor both the stadium and Town's shirts as they are keen to build their brand in the UK.

The stadium which would hold approximately 45,000 normal spectators and around 2000 corporate guests would be on a new business complex that would house both retail, logistic, office and leisure facilities, including a Olympic sized swimming pool.

The stadium would meet UEFA 4-star standard so if Town wanted they could apply to host the UEFA Cup final.

There are currently drainage issues with the proposed site but a network of drains would be put in place before any building work starts on the site.
