Williams Wanting To Stay

Town midfielder Gavin Williams sees his future at Town beyond the end of his current contract despite being a bit part player this season.
Williams' first game of the season didn't come until November because of an ankle injury he then enjoyed a run in the team that ended in January following Town's defeat against Portsmouth in The FA cup and with the signings of Sumulikoski and David Norris he looked to be on his way from Town in the summer but a couple of injures and he is back in the squad and looking forward to a brighter future.
"I definitely want to stay at the club - I'm not going to find a better club than this, I love playing for Ipswich and this is where I see my future.
"But for the moment I just want to concentrate on getting back playing. Then if I do well for Ipswich then we can start talking about contracts."
"It's been difficult losing my place but I totally understand," Williams told Ipswich World. "I've not had a pre-season for two years so I just think that I've not been fit enough. It's been frustrating what with being injured at the start of the season and then losing my place in the team.
"But I feel like I'm getting fitter now and hopefully I'll be getting fitter every game I play.
"It's great to be back, I've missed about 12 weeks and I was just pleased to be back on the pitch.
"Hopefully now I can improve my fitness and get back playing well. I need to get games under my belt so and I want to stay in and around the first team squad now."
