Lee Eyeing Wembley Double

Town striker Alan Lee is hoping he can make two visits to Wembley stadium this year, one as a supporter one as a player.

Lee's former club Cardiff come to Portman Road on Wednesday night on the back of an FA Cup Semi Final victory over Barnsley (who says the Cup has lost its magic?) so will be heading to the Final against Portsmouth next month Lee hopes to be there for that and there again for Town in the play-off final.

Lee: "My priority is obviously Ipswich but I'm delighted for Cardiff that they have reached the FA Cup Final, I was offered tickets for the Semi-Final against Barnsley but with us training and the game on Wednesday, it wasn't possible but I'm hoping to make it to the Final and go along and support them, if things work out.

"The squad has changed a bit since I was at the club but when we played at Ninian Park earlier in the season there were still many familiar faces around - and friends as well.

"Hopefully they will be at Wembley one week and then we will follow seven days later in the Play-Off Final.

"We know we have a lot to do, especially after the defeat at Colchester but we still have a decent chance and we have to make sure we take it.

"It's a big week for us, with the Norwich game coming up as well but if we can pick up six points it will give us a massive lift."
