DS To Welcome Back Leeds

Town Chairman David Sheepshanks says he would welcome Leeds and their fans back to Portman road should they get promoted from League One.
Leeds ended up in League One following a 1-1 draw with Town at Elland Road in 2007, a game which many Town fans won't forget in a hurry as some Leeds "fans" felt it necessary to not only invade the pitch but pelt Town's travelling support with coins and other missiles, something Mr Sheepshanks is not pleased that happened or that it went unpunished but he would welcome their fans to Portman Road next season.
Mr Sheepshanks: "At Ipswich Town we have other thoughts about Leeds United and our last visit to Elland Road.
"The wounds of that visit will take longer to heal and I still feel a great deal of sympathy for our fans who suffered abuse and violence.
"As you will remember I took it to the highest levels of the Football League and The FA boards. The police took severe actions against the perpetrators and a number were prosecuted and some are now behind bars.
"Just as we hope everyone in football will draw a line under the points reduction for the financial irregularities we at Ipswich Town must draw a line under the pitch invasion.
"If Leeds are promoted then it will be deserved. It should be remembered that the vast majority of Leeds United supporters are decent people and expressed their regret at and made apologies for the actions of an ugly minority.
"It is my belief that one day Leeds will be back in the Championship, and very probably the Premiership where I hope we will also be to play them.
"If they are promoted then they will be welcomed back into the Championship and to Portman Road."

Fair play to Leeds they deserved to win last night and on now reaching the final I think they'll come up, but that squad wont last long in The Championship, that girl who plays in midfield will get the @#$%& kicked out of him, he kept falling over last night evrytime anybody went near him, and that was a against a very weak Carlisle side.
Good luck in final Leeds United, hope you do come up, but you can leave 'your hooligan' fans in Div 3.
And if you don't come up, please stop crying about your fCuk1ing 15 pts!!!!!
